Day 1: Arrival – Johannesburg → Sun City

From City Pulse to Resort Grandeur

Arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa’s largest and most dynamic city.

Visit Nelson Mandela Square for photos and a brief introduction to modern South Africa before driving to Sun City — often called South Africa’s answer to Las Vegas, set against dramatic bushland.

Evening at leisure to enjoy the resort atmosphere.

Day 2: Sun City → Pilanesberg National Park → Sun City

Big Five in a Volcanic Crater

Early morning departure for a safari in Pilanesberg National Park.

  • Located in an ancient volcanic crater
  • Home to the Big Five
  • Excellent visibility and fewer vehicles than Kruger
  • Soft morning light = best wildlife photography

Return to Sun City by afternoon.

Day 3: Sun City → Johannesburg → ✈ Port Elizabeth → Tsitsikamma

From Safari to the Garden Route

Transfer to Johannesburg Airport and fly to Port Elizabeth, gateway to the famous Garden Route.

En route to Tsitsikamma:

  • Photo stop at Shark Rock Pier
  • Visit Jeffreys Bay Shell Museum, known for surf culture and coastal charm

Proceed to Tsitsikamma National Park.

Day 4: Tsitsikamma National Park → Bloukrans Bridge → Knysna → George

Cliffs, Forests & Adrenaline

Morning exploration of Tsitsikamma National Park:

  • Indigenous forests

  • Walk across the Storms River Suspension Bridge

Continue to Bloukrans Bridge, the world’s highest commercial bungee jump site.
